Just a quick update on the damages caused by flooding due to Cyclone Funso, which affected Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces.

Camps which are open

• Biyamiti
• Crocodile Bridge
• Letaba - Day visitors site and swimming pool remains closed.
• Lower Sabie - with the exception of 6 tents
• Malelane
• Maroela
• Mopani
• Olifants
• Orpen
• Pretoriuskop
• Punda Maria
• Roodewal
• Satara - Camp operating on standby generator.
• Shimuwini
• Shingwedzi
• Shipindane Hide
• Sirheni
• Skukuza & Talamati - Temporarily opened.
• Tsendze

Camps which remain closed

• Balule
• Tamboti and Sable Dam Hide

Access roads inside the park

All Tarred roads are open except for the below:

• T-junction to Olifants at H8 to high level bridge has a section of the road washed away and there is a short gravel detour.
• Olifants River Causeway at Balule is still closed.
• Sand River Causeway on H1-2 still closed.
• Pretoriuskop to Skukuza is closed.

Travel Consultants are handling each of the affected bookings and are making alternative arrangements accordingly.
