The Okavango Delta Traverse is more than a regular safari, with game encounters and fascinating insights into the Delta. The remoteness is invigorating, the blend of mystery and wildness overwhelming. The parallel experiences of discovery and intuition bring the realization that there is vastly more to wilderness exploration than we first realize, that the more you explore a wild area, the more you explore your self. The Okavango is remote, unspoiled and celebrates Africa in all its splendour, from narrow streams to wide rivers, from water-lily to baobab and grassy plains to floating islands. Explore this paradise on foot and in the traditional mokoro.

Located in northern Botswana, the Okavango Delta is the wildest wetland in Africa. Covering an area of some 15 000 square kilometers with a great range of wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, lion, wild dog, giraffe and an assortment of antelope that quench their thirst in this huge oasis. Channels, lagoons, floodplains, hidden water-lily gardens and palm-fringed islands make up the Delta. This is a timeless land without the trappings of society. The most rewarding way to explore its secrets is to venture to remote islands by traditional dug-out canoe, or mokoro. Here, away from commercial operations, the Okavango truly comes alive.
