Community Projects
One of the questions that keep surfacing is what to do about the rising problem of AIDS particularly AIDS orphans in Africa. As a tourist your guests are able to offer short term comfort to some of these children by offering assistance, financially or more importantly by just spending some time at the orphanages with these children showing them unconditional love and attention. We can make a difference!
De Wildt Cheetah Farm
The De Wildt Wild Cheetah Management Program is a project of the De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust. The Program focuses its efforts on conservation efforts relating to free roaming cheetah which occur on commercial and communal farmlands in South Africa. This program involves a great deal of conflict resolution with farmers (commercial and communal) who suffer financial losses to the farming activities due to predation caused by cheetahs as well research focussing on the understanding of cheetahs which occur on farmland areas.
Cradle Of Mankind
About 10 kms away from the world famous Sterkfontein Caves, the world class visitor facility MAROPENG recently opened to the public. A must see for every visitor to the province, the centre has within it a visitor attraction which tells the story of the Cradle of Humankind and brings to live the history of humankind in entertaining, educative and interactive ways. Maropeng also offers restaurants, a market place and outdoor amphitheatre.

African Art Gallery
Johannesburg has a number of well-established, world-class art galleries. The city boasts several corporate collections too: one of these, held by Absa bank, is said to be the largest such exhibition in the world. There's no limit to what is on display in the city: prints, sculptures, African craft, tapestries, beadwork, ceramics, wirework and experimental art. Some of the newer galleries are exclusively devoted to contemporary African artists.
